Edward Teller (1908 - 2003) was an American nuclear physicist. He was born in Hungary and studied both chemical engineering and physics at university. Teller briefly worked in Copenhagen, with Niels Bohr before moving to the United States to become a Professor of Physics at the George Washington University. He later worked with Robert Oppenheimer on the Manhatten Project which aimed to develop the first nuclear weapons.
