Anne C Lynch (1815-1891)
Anne C Lynch (Botta) (1815-1891) was born in Bennington and educated in Albany, New York. She began writing from an early age and edited the 'Rhode Island Book' in her early twenties. Soon afterwards she returned to New York and married in 1855 to Professor Botta, and became something of a society hostess while still continuing with her poetry, writing and having two children.
The University of Michigan have kindly put online an entire book of memoirs about Anne Lynch; which you can find here.
