Charles Kettering (1876 - 1958)
Charles Kettering (1876 - 1958) was a mechanic, engineer and scientist. He also invented many things and held over 300 patents in the United States. He studied electrical engineering and many of his inventions were related to automobiles and was Head of Research at General Motors for 27 years. His home, built in 1914, in Dayton, Ohio, was the first house in the United States to have air conditioning.
