Lord Kelvin (1824 -1907) was a mathematician, physicist, engineer and inventor. He is well known for his work on the mathematical analysis of electricity and thermodynamics. Among is achievements was the development of the mathematical theory of electrical oscillation which led to his work on wireless telegraphy. Lord Kelvin was buried in Westminster Abbey next to Sir Isaac Newton.
