Thomas H. Huxley (1825 - 1895) was an English biologist and a member of the Royal Society. He strongly defended Charles Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection and, as a result, was sometimes known as "Darwin's Bulldog". Among Huxley's grandchildren are the writer, Aldous Huxley, the founder of WWF, Sir Julian Huxley and the Nobel laureate, Sir Andrew Huxley.
