Ray Bradbury (1920 - ) is an American writer of science fiction, well known for 'The Martian Chronicles' and 'Fahrenheit 451'. Many of his works have been adapted for film, radio, television and theatre. For this contribution to the motion-picture industry he was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Also, Bradbury has an asteroid '9766 Bradbury' named in his honour.
