Tim Berners-Lee (1955 -) is the inventor of the World Wide Web and director of the World Wide Web Consortium, which oversees its continued development. Before the invention of the World Wide Web, Berners-Lee studied at Oxford University and played in their 'tiddlywinks' team against Cambridge.
