Tuesday - http://www.nasa.gov/home/index.html

In terms of learning about Space, exploring space and getting excited about the potential benefits of space travel their is simply no competition. Nasa is the daddy. It is simply so enormous a site that it reminds me of that quote by Samuel Johnson - "When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford." Replace 'London' with 'Space' and the quote is as relevant about the Nasa web site. You can find some of their popular topics here, but in truth it is a cavernous and wonderful place to explore just about any topic you can imagine about space. Well done Nasa. I would up your budget!

Wednesday - (US) www.vivausa.org/ or (UK) www.viva.org.uk/

Viva is an international charity that campaigns on behalf of animals. Animals are often treated appallingly, and this is our conscience link for internet science week. If you don't want to change to a vegetarian diet (FirstScience Link), or think that factory farming is OK, then that is your choice. I urge you to still visit this site, because you need to make those choices from a position of knowing the facts. With that in mind they have a great page of Comprehensive Guides to the Vegetarian/Vegan Issue (UK) or US Guides and I mean comprehensive. These are very informative. You can also watch video's (UK Videos or US Videos) of how some animals are treated for our consumption. Warning - These may shock you.

Thursday - http://www.science.gov/

In science terms the world has much to thank the US Government for. They offer so much free information to the world through their various public portals, that it simply puts other countries to shame. This one is a case in point. You will likely find copious, intelligent information both quickly and with a minimum of fuss. Trust me, if you put together a science web site for a living the US Government is your friend! Here is a challenge for you. Think of any subject you are interested in related to science, and type it in at this site. I guarantee you will be blown away by the resources at your disposal.

Ok. That's it. Back to friday. Time to visit FirstScience.com again!
