Googlewhacking - The Art of the Googlewhack

In any case the whole point is that googlewhacking requires a sneakier, more abstract frame of mind then the average seeker of truth on the google gravy train. It is the sheer pointlessness of the task that makes it wonderful. And is ultimately what makes the internet a magical place. Knowledge branching into knowledge branching into knowledge. It is a true test of the wordsmiths perambulations (2 results - blast!) And as such is a thing of beauty. A medieval jousting contest of the dictionaries protuberance (400 results) versus the occasional jocularity (749 results) of the mixer of words. So for my next brief dip I tried dextrous circumlocutions which was a step in the right direction, but even here there are 5 results on google. I should also say that whilst the gold medals, the Harry Potter cashpot, the sunshine over a Bahama beach awards all go to only a single result, and are a 'Googlewhack'. On the flip sides are those nefarious beasts (4,450 results) the 'Googlejack' (you figure it out) when you get no results. This does not count as success. Get one of these puppies and you have FAILED people. Try Again! Undeterred, on the same theme I tried:

dextrous perambulations - 4 results
dextrous confabulations - 13 results
dextrous winner - 962 results
synchronous perturbation - 8,690 results

And then...Miracle of miracles. I thought I had found one! Raucous dissimulations. Only one result right? Well, unfortunately not. If you have a look for this on google you will see that it has omitted some results. It is saying "1 of 1 of about 3", despite the fact that you can only see 1 result. So you need to click on the link to fetch them all. Still, two of them were duplicates. So it was really two results. However, in googlewhacking a miss is as good as a mile! In order to check this 'Officially' you need to go to the torchbearer and keeper of the faith here - http://www.googlewhack.com/whack.pl However, you should only do this once you are fairly sure you have a winner! If you go there and put in Raucous dissimulations you will see that I was a loser :( However, there is a forum here that plays by the 'displays one result' rule - and so that would have counted for that - It doesn't anymore! - But really that is cheating people. Play by the rules! It is more fun to find the Pure, unadulterated Googlewhack!) If you do find a winning googlewhack then you can enter it in the Hall of Fame at Googlewhacking.com. Which, conveniently, is not spidered by Google, so any results that are found there do not affect the game.
