- 3 Dec 2004I was wandering by a dry cleaners the other day. They were in the process of closing down and a sign was on the wall:
'Please Note: Our last day of business will be the 17th December. Any clothes not collected by then will be given to charity. Thank You'
It raised a chuckle with me. I can't imagine why they are having problems with such sterling customer service values as those? But it did raise a thought in my mind. Namely that words can have a power way beyond the simple and short phrases in which they sometimes find themselves. That in a few words you can encapsulate a whole lotta meaning. So in the true spirit of Christmas giving, I thought I would display, for your delectation and mince pie munching enjoyment, a collection of quotes about Christmas.
