Mark Haw is a scientist and writer based in Nottingham, UK. As well as lecturing and researching in the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of Nottingham, he writes features and articles for various science magazines. His latest popular science book, Middle World: the restless heart of matter and life, is published by Macmillan Science.
