Marc West is a 27 year old Sydney-sider who has a passion for science, sport, travelling and particularly enjoys science communication.
At university, he studied chemistry, science communication and operations research, whilst nowadays hosts the Mr Science Show (mrscienceshow.com) and podcast - a discussion of popular science topics in a social context. He volunteers on the Diffusion Science Radio Show in Sydney on 2SER and across Australia on the Community Radio Network , and as Mr Science on China Radio International across Asia. He is interested in all sorts of science topics, from popular science to the more weighty topics of science in the developing world and how to express scientific topics to people of all ages and cultures. Marc has travelled through Australia with the Shell Questacon Science Circus, communicating science to regional and indigenous groups. In his spare time, and when he has the time and money, he loves to travel and see how science is practised and communicated in various parts of the world. In his paid hours, Marc works as an Operations Analyst for the Australian Government.
